different doctrines

Postby Randy Rhodes » Tue Apr 06, 2010 4:18 pm

We have been studying different doctrines at our church ( the millennial reign, eternal security , ect ) and their history. I am coming to believe that how we act toward other Christians that have a different doctrine says more about our true nature than our doctrine itself . Any comments?

Randy,

I agree. The doctrine itself stands on it's own merit, but our behavior toward other is distinctly ours and distinctly human. I have wondered if we seeing our small numbers feel threatened. Humans when they feel threatened will get defensive and pair this up with group think and look out! I wonder if the different churches are what Christ was refering to when he taught about the body, some being eyes, some feet, fingers, etc. Southern Baptist with their zeal and long arms of evangelism, methodist with their steady feet, pentecostals with their tongues of praise, etc. Separate Baptist you ask? The brain of course! ha!
